Engineered growing trays designed for fast, con
sistent microgreen growth.
These silicone trays are the core of the Asphalt Rose Microgreens System. They were designed and engineered in Denmark by our engineering team to create the optimal balance between water retention and air circulation, two factors that directly affect root health and growth speed.
This is not a generic container.
It is a growing surface designed to work as part of a repeatable growing cycle.
Engineered for water and air balance
Microgreens grow best when roots receive both steady moisture and access to oxygen.
Our silicone trays are designed with integrated air–water channels that:
-
Hold water evenly across the growing surface
-
Prevent oversaturation
-
Allow air to circulate beneath the growing mat
-
Support proper root oxygenation
This balance promotes faster, more uniform growth and reduces common issues such as uneven germination, root stress, or mold.
The tray geometry and material behavior were developed specifically for microgreens, not adapted from food containers or storage bins.
Designed for circulation and continuous growing
Microgreens do not all grow at the same speed.
Some varieties are ready in as little as four days.
Others require six or seven days to reach peak harvest.
That is why this set includes three trays.
Using multiple trays allows you to:
-
Grow different microgreens at their own pace
-
Stagger planting and harvesting
-
Keep one tray under the lamp while another is germinating
-
Maintain a continuous growing rhythm
We recommend having two sets of trays for a smooth rotation. While one set is growing under the lamp, the second set can be germinating or being replanted. When one tray is harvested, another takes its place.
Once the cycle is established, growing becomes quiet and automatic.
Compatible with all microgreen varieties
We do not limit you to specific seeds.
These trays are suitable for:
The system adapts to the microgreens, not the other way around.
Designed for easy storage after harvest
The trays are sized to fit standard zip-lock bags.
After harvest:
-
Leave the microgreens in the silicone tray
-
Place the tray directly into a zip-lock bag
-
Store in the refrigerator
No special containers are required.
No extra fridge space is wasted.
This allows you to harvest when the greens are ready, not when you are forced to consume them.
Microgreens stay fresh longer, and your kitchen stays organized.
How the growing cycle works
A typical growing pattern:
-
Place a grow mat into a silicone tray
-
Add water until fully soaked
-
Sow seeds evenly
-
Cover with a dark plate and apply a mild weight
-
Germinate for two to three days without light
-
Move the tray under the lamp
-
Grow for three to five days, depending on variety
-
Harvest and rotate trays
While one tray is under the lamp, another can be germinating.
This rotation makes the system virtually endless.
Materials that support long-term use
These trays are designed for repeated use, not disposal.
