At the core of the system is our custom-designed silicone growing tray, paired with natural jute fiber grow mats and a smart LED lamp that maintains a stable day and night rhythm. Together, they create a controlled environment that supports consistent growth with minimal effort.

Designed and engineered in Denmark

The Asphalt Rose Microgreens System was developed by our Danish engineering team, professionals with many years of experience in engineering, materials, and product design.

Danish design is often described as minimalistic, but minimalism is not about removing features. It is about achieving technical precision with as few elements as possible. That is much harder than adding complexity.

Our work focused on the growing system itself: the interaction between the tray, the grow surface, water behavior, and the growing cycle. The geometry of the tray, the material choice, and the way the system supports repeatable growth were all developed with this philosophy in mind.

In Denmark, light is not taken for granted. Limited daylight for much of the year creates a deep respect for how light behaves, how it shapes space, and how it supports life. That cultural relationship with light shaped our approach to the system as a whole, particularly the need for stable, predictable illumination rather than aggressive brightness.

The LED grow lamp included with the system is sourced from a specialized manufacturer and selected for its reliability, consistency, and built-in timing function. While we did not design the lamp itself, it was chosen carefully to complement the growing system and support the day and night rhythm required for healthy microgreen growth.

This combination of Danish engineering, practical minimalism, and respect for light defines the Asphalt Rose Microgreens System.

Designed for continuous growth

This system is built to circulate.

With three trays included in the kit, you can stagger your planting and harvesting so fresh microgreens are always ready. While one tray is nearing harvest, another one can be replanted.

By adding additional silicone trays and replacement jute mats, the system effectively becomes endless. Trays move from growing to harvesting, then back into rotation. The lamp stays in place. The rhythm stays the same.

Once you understand the cycle, growing microgreens becomes a quiet habit rather than a project.

Everything in the kit is meant to be reused, replenished, and rotated.

How it works

1. Place a jute grow mat into a silicone tray.

2. Add water until the mat is fully soaked.

3. Evenly sprinkle seeds across the surface, approximately one-quarter ounce per tray.

4. Cover with the black lid and place the tray on the lamp base.

5. After two to three days, remove the cover and press the On button. The lamp runs automatically on its built-in cycle.

6. Harvest in four to seven days and enjoy on salads, sandwiches, or smoothies.

Pro tip: Rotate two trays every three days for a continuous harvest.
Pro tip: Store harvested trays in the Ziploc bag in the refrigerator to keep greens fresh longer.

Materials that work with you

The silicone trays are flexible, durable, and easy to clean. They hold water evenly and do not warp or crack over time. They are dishwasher safe and designed for long-term reuse.

The jute grow mats are made from 100 percent natural fiber. They wick water evenly, support strong root development, and break down naturally after use. When you are done, they can be composted.

The lamp provides consistent light without guesswork. Once turned on, it maintains a stable cycle automatically, so you do not need to think about timers or adjustments.
